In My Mailbox (10-10-11)

In My Mailbox is hosted by The Story Siren

So I've been away the last 10 days because ...

I was sunning myself in beautiful Alvor, Portugal. Had an awesome time, very relaxing, the scenery is beyond gorgeous...like paradise! The food was heavenly too, delicious fresh fish cooked on a grill as you wait for it . Nom.

I didn't get that much reading done as I was with my 6 year old daughter Lucy and spent lots of time in the sea and building sand castles. I did manage to get through two and half of my netgally books on my Kindle though. I've always loved my kindle ... but never as much as on holiday. No lugging books about means more space in suitcase for shoes! I also discovered that empty knicker packets with zip locks make fantastic protectors from the sand and the Kindle fits perfectly...though next time I might take a couple of freezer bags instead as I couldn't get the big price sticker off.

Anyway, here are the books I received while I was away...

There's some parcels waiting at the post office too which I haven't had time to collect and don't know what they are...exciting!

Lu also got a couple of books to review too...she's read one in this series already and got stuck straight in..

So some interesting sounding books...hopefully they'll ease my depression at returning home to cold, wind and rain (boo)
